The classes were one and a half hours of bliss

Each class has been amazingly different in a wonderful way! I'm becoming aware of my body and of every little muscle, joint and bone. Beth is a professional teacher, very considerate and extremely tender. She is the perfect yoga teacher

Yoga–and, I think, Kripalu in particular–is about exploring and really feeling how my body-mind works. I am really enjoying the journey, and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a greater sense of connection in their life.

Beth makes it fun. I like yoga because it helps me to relax and since doing yoga I don't have headaches anymore. It is funny because I do it with my mum, cousin and aunt.

Each week, yoga is time for me. I can set aside the demands of daily life, take a deep breath, let it go, begin to calm my mind, and awaken my body. I usually work six days a week, and the hours are very unsociable. I am constantly thinking about time, planning, juggling, and generally hoping for enough energy to do everything. Beth has been my teacher for a few years now. Her approach is thoughtful, not routine and always evolving, to the point now where she has provided me with the means and desire to also practice on my own - something I never felt able to do since I began yoga 17 years ago.

I'm quite a rules-based person: I like to know there's a right and a wrong way to do things. I came to yoga wanting to know the "right" way to do it. Beth's classes have shown me there is no one way right way for everyone: She's given me courage to explore things for myself and find my own path in a totally safe way. It's really creative and eye-opening and I'm loving it.

My daughter and I have been practicing yoga for over a year with Beth. We practice once a week with another mother-daughter pair. We all notice how the practice has helped us to improve our flexibility and ability to relax; sometimes, the girls even mention how it helps them do better in sport class at school. I have had weight issues and a not-so-positive concept of my body for years. I was a bit worried when we started off and were supposed to do a head stand. I just couldn’t imagine how that was going to work for me. After a few tries and then something like success, I was so amazed at what my body could do with Beth’s help and guidance.

As a small child I had treatment for flat feet, which meant wearing tortuous shoes to correct my fallen arches. Since then I have severe cramps in my left foot from time to time, possibly due to the treatment. Last year the pain was so bad that I couldn’t walk properly. Orthopaedic shoes didn’t solve the problem, I started to wonder if I would ever walk comfortably again.
In one yoga session the problem was solved. Beth showed me exercises that activated the synovial fluid and stretched the muscles around the joints in my foot and the pain disappeared within 2 weeks.

From the beginning of yoga practice with Beth I began to learn how to open up the inner constrictions of a lifetime and experience the wider deeper sensations of the inner body. I had never known that such a great and profound space existed within me which is my birthright and true abode. Beth became my guide in a slow, deep and conscious exploration that will remain with me in each breath and each step I take. For the first time yoga on the mat became yoga in life.

The first thing that yoga gave me is an awareness of how important the spine is, for energy, health and flexibility. The second has been to observe my daughters sensitivity and how much time she needs to feel at peace. Franzi is open to many things and I see that yoga gives her inner strength; she sees her own talents and begins to appreciate herself. Practicing yoga as a family with Kelly and Megan puts our strengths in balance. For me yoga is related to meditation too, a kind of returning to the centre, cleaning the mind. I like the classes a lot, I would like to do yoga every day but alone I can’t motivate my self.

I thoroughly enjoy Beth's yoga classes. She is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced teacher; she explains the poses and their benefits clearly and encourages and supports you in your practice. Beth's classes taught me how to become more aware of my body and breathing and how yoga gives you more strength, balance and flexibility. Best of all - you leave the class with a wonderful sense of mental well being.

My husband and I are completely new to yoga; we started to practice three months ago. The big benefit of just the two of us is that each session is tailor made to suit our abilities and Beth can give us a lot of individual attention. The fact that we are in our own home makes the practice even more relaxing and peaceful and it is also great for us to have this time together as a couple. Since we started we are more relaxed and I have found it easier to fall asleep at night. We would highly recommend Beth as an excellent yoga teacher!
